At the annual reorganization, all members of Wyckoff's advisory boards, commissions, and committees were reappointed for 2026. Volunteer fire department officers were also formally designated for the new year.

LANE TAKES REINS AS MAYOR IN WYCKOFF'S 100TH YEAR
Roger Lane, a 39-year veteran of the Township Committee, was sworn in as mayor at the annual reorganization meeting, kicking off a centennial celebration year.
Roger Lane was sworn in as Mayor of Wyckoff on Friday at the township's annual reorganization meeting,[1] assuming the top seat of the Township Committee for the first time in his long career in local government — and at a moment the community is marking its 100th year as an incorporated municipality.
Lane, who has served on the Township Committee for 39 years since his days in New Milford, took the oath of office[2] surrounded by family, colleagues, and longtime residents who packed Memorial Town Hall. He is a familiar face in Bergen County municipal circles and has been deeply involved in Wyckoff's governance through multiple generations of local leadership.
'It means everything to be in this seat in this particular year,' Lane said at the podium. 'Wyckoff deserves a centennial worth celebrating, and I intend to make sure we do exactly that.'
The other four committee members were also sworn in for the new year: May Bogdansky, Rudolph Boonstra, Peter Melchione, and James Schappert. All boards, commissions, and advisory committees were reappointed in their entirety, and the township's volunteer fire department officers were formally named for 2026.
The centerpiece of the evening was the launch of Wyckoff's centennial calendar.[3] Three major public events are planned: a formal Centennial Gala on March 21st at the Brick House, a Main Street block party and street fair on June 27th, and a historic cemetery tour on October 24th. Officials encouraged residents to mark their calendars and watch the township website for additional programming throughout the year.
The annual reorganization also designated official newspapers, set the 2026 meeting schedule, and confirmed legal and financial appointments required at the start of each year under New Jersey law.
The Township Committee's next regular session is scheduled for January 21st.
